Michael Martinez is a Mexican-American cinematographer with over 35 years of experience. As an LA native, Michael started his career on feature film sets. He then transitioned to television, embracing the challenges of episodic storytelling. Notably, he rose from camera operator to Director of Photography on "Hawaii Five-0," where he had the honor of shaping its dynamic visual style. His success there led to his role in the "MacGyver" reboot, which allowed him to proudly join the Directors Guild of America (DGA). Since relocating to Atlanta in 2017, Michael has become a sought-after cinematographer known for his bold, evocative visuals that enhance every narrative, whether in intense drama or high-energy action. He believes that cinematography reveals the soul of a story and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of filmmakers, inspiring audiences with his impactful imagery.
